. Write down everything you do in a typical blogging workday.

. Estimate how long each action takes you.

. Categorize your blogging tasks into urgent and not so urgent tasks.

. Next remake the list of the urgent tasks by putting the most priority ones at the top of the list and the least urgent ones at the bottom.

. Do the same for the non urgent tasks

. Map these out and find a way to measure what you’re accomplishing during any given workday.

. Automate your publishing

HOW TO PITCH YOUR BLOG TO THE MEDIA FOR MORE TRAFFIC

Pitching your blog for interviews on traditional media gives you more publicity which drives more traffic to your blog and also reinforces you as an expert in your niche.

1.
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there

2.
Go where your real audience is
hanging out.
This means that you do not pitch to traditional press coverage where your target market does not hang.
Find the most relevant blogs,
magazines, forums and just target those.

3.
Be choosy too. You want more traffic isn’t it? Unless your interview is going to be read by a large number, do not accept the interview.
So first find out how many readers they have before pitching anything.

It’s kind of a barter trade. You are exchanging your expertise for free publicity.

.

BAD BLOGGING TRAITS THAT DRIVE AWAY YOUR AUDIENCE

The blogosphere is an interactive world. That means it’s a two way conversational medium.

All bloggers love audience.
However, there are some things a blogger would do unwillingly, that would drive his or her own audience away.

These include:

1.
Not replying to blog comments.

Since you have already enabled commenting after each blog post, please respond to the comments.
Some of your readers would have asked for your advice and if you don’t reply, you discourage them from engaging with your blog.

2.
Omitting to reply any questions that inquires how a reader can blog like you or live the kind of lifestyle you are blogging about.

You are their hero or heroine, isn’t it? A role model I believe.
If you don’t reply this question, sooner or later, your readers will walk away from you.

3.
Using foul language. Although most blogs are creative outlets, it is important to keep in mind that the internet is accessible from all the four corners of the world.
Cultures are very different as to what is an acceptable language.
That is why if a blogger just write using the basic school language grammar, different audiences from all over the world will accept his or her blog.

4.
Informing your readers that you have just removed all your INACTIVE subscribers.
It is not a good PR move.
